They settled down in Paysandú Uruguay, around 1861. Then, part of the family resided in Rosario, Santa Fe, Argentina.

The descendants of Giovanni (another of their children) reside mostly in Paysandú and Montevideo, Uruguay

Also, part of their descendants are disseminated in the Argentinean counties of Buenos Aires, Chaco, Córdoba, Formosa, Jujuy, Misiones, Mendoza, Santa Fe, etc.

Soon after the arrival of Luigi Perosio and Anna Parodi in Paysandú, Antonio Perosio — son of Francesco and Luigia Bondanza — emigrated from Genoa to Uruguay, in this case to the department of Artigas.

Due to errors of that time, the surname became Perossio, with a numerous present-day descendancy.
