Alberto Domingo Perosio
Mr. Alberto Domingo Perosio (1922-2007), merchant for many years in the automotive commerce, had a committed and notable attitude with the society that saw him grow and prosper in Resistencia, Chaco, in the Argentine Republic.
His ancestors were from Busalla in the Valle Scrivia and were pioneers in their arrival to America around 1861.
From a young age he was an amateur sportsman practicing the sport he loved, basketball, in his beloved city of Saenz Peña.
He was part of the history of one of the most important clubs in the province of Chaco, the Hindu Club, of the city of Resistencia, protagonist of great achievements in that institution, making it one of the most important in the region.
He formed part of the first teams of the club, even at the birth of the Federation of Basketball of Chaco.
Defender of amateur sport, he spared no efforts to develop the most varied sports, with institutional growth as the base of an expansion that allowed him to have a unique Sports Center in the region.
He was one of the members of the group that signed documents pledging their own assets to buy the initial land of the complex.
He held all positions, from president in three periods, secretary, treasurer, vocal, or as in the present board of directors where he was a member of the oversight body.
Recognized by the "Circle of Sports Journalists of Chaco" on December 7, 1994 at the annual provincial sports celebration.
He served as president of the club between April 1, 1969 and March 30, 1979. Then again between 04-06-84 and 02-07-86 and finally between 12-08-88 and 05-06-90.
Exemplary father, honest merchant, tireless fighter, an exemplary symbol for all the sports leadership of the region.
He passed away on December 26, 2006.
